• Yale Bowl

    The Yale Bowl, which opened in November 1914, is a truly spectacular football stadium: 930 feet long, 750 feet wide, covering 12 1/2 acres. It has a seating capacity of over 70,000, with every seat having an unobstructed view of the field.

    The Old Campus quadrangle on the block west of the New Haven Green features a large courtyard, long walkways, and a grand entrance from the green at Phelps Gate. Among its dormitories, classrooms, chapels, and offices is Yale’s (and New Haven’s) oldest building, Connecticut Hall (1750–52).

    Harkness Memorial Tower, completed in 1921, was at the time the tallest (216 feet) freestanding masonry tower in the country. This prominent Yale icon contains a 54-bell carillon that is played daily by student and professional carillonneurs.

Next Steps

Once approved, a representative from Yale will reach out to the production company to discuss and confirm terms as follows:

  - Associated Fees, which includes

  * Facility Use Fees of $1250 an hour (minimum 4 hours)

  * Security as deemed necessary for Yale

  * Custodial as needed

  * Includes Yale Marketing & Trademark Licensing staff member on site through out the entire event

  - Confirm date of technical walk through with production company and Yale – should be done as soon as possible after terms are agreed upon

Post Technical Walk Through

Yale will review site requests with appropriate departments, then confirm locations, times of availability, and other specifics with production company. Once confirmed, production company is then required to forward insurance documents (as specified on application) to Yale. All materials will be then forwarded to Yale Office of General Council and Yale Risk Management for review. Assuming all is in order a Facilities Use Agreement would be drawn up for signature by both parties.
